Boneseed Removal

chrysanthmonil2 Boneseed is a fast growing bushy shrub, which has the potential to completely replace low coastal and open, island vegetation.

Waikato Regional Council and the Department of Conservation has classified Boneseed as a containment pest plant, identifying patches of it around Whiritoa, Waihi and Raglan.

As vegetation control specialists, Power Weed Control Ltd is contracted to remove Boneseed from the Raglan coastal area.

To access the plants we need to traverse a variety of terrains. Removal of Boneseed is done by hand, with staff getting to the location either by truck, foot or even by abseiling.

Weedbusters, and the Department of Conservation, along with the Waikato Regional Council, also have information on Boneseed and other pest plants endangering our environment.
